ALASKA MEMORY

Next week will mark a year since we celebrated my birthday in Alaska. It was a grand 12 day tour that covered much of Alaska (and some Yukon Territory) by plane, rail, bus, catamaran, helicopter, and cruise ship.

Glacier and Denali National Parks were spectacular. And there were so many breath-taking sights in so many other interesting places. To see the arduous trail of gold prospectors was a treat.

On my actual birthday we had a full day. We started in Whitehorse traveling on motor coach by beautiful mountains and lakes. Next we got on a narrow gauge railroad through the White Pass from Fraser to Skagway. Then we took a helicopter and landed on a glacier. Finally we boarded our cruise ship for a delicious dinner of salmon with Baked Alaska for dessert. We made some great memories on this birthday!
