Cissy and I enjoyed a delightful and entertaining week at Amelia Island with my son Seth and his family --- wife Haley and kids --- Olivia, Ethan, and Merrily. Besides the normal beach doings, I celebrated my birthday. In recent years mostly I have been away from home to celebrate "my day" in places like Alaska, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.
This year my birthday began with being awakened in bed with a plate of cinnamon rolls topped with birthday candles. That night's supper was my favorite meal of country style steak and vegetables finished with more candles on a birthday cake. The video shows the gist of the week. The women deftly avoided being in many of the photos.
