FERNBANK MUSEUM

Earlier this week I took my five year old grandson Ethan to Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta. The main drawing card was the dinosaurs, one of Ethan’s special interests.

Our first stop in the museum was the Children’s Discovery Rooms. There we learned about shadows, insects, plants, and animals. Ethan threw a fishing line over a bridge and angled for some fish.

The Sensing Nature exhibit used interactive displays with lights and sounds to show how we interpret our environment with our senses. A favorite for Ethan was making huge bubbles. Other exhibits of seashells and animals caught our attention.

Another highlight was the movie “Sea Monsters” in the IMAX theater.
