A big piece of my heart remains in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of Brazil. I served as a missionary in the capital city of Porto Alegre for a few years. It is known as the Gaúcho or "Cowboy" state because of the rich heritage of cattle-raising.
There are Gaúcho restaurants in the U.S., like Fogo do Chão (based in Porto Alegre), that serve churrasco --- meat cooked over flames and cut off spits at your table.
The three minute video below shares some of the spiritual needs of the people in this place.
